It’s never easy to spot trends at Philippine Fashion Week. Filipino designers tend to be more ‘capsulated’ when they come up with their collections; meaning, more often than not, a Filipino designer’s collection is the product of their whim or fancy, and not often does it bear direct relevance to the viewer, their buyer, or even the fellow designer.
But great minds think alike, as you’ll find in fashion weeks the world over. Trends are born from a common understanding of what a woman wants now, needs now, and these Filipino designers understood a modern girl’s desire for simplicity, sophistication, and elegance.
