Just Saying

For the record, I am again sewing all the pieces for my 3rd season on fashion week without getting any help from a seamstress. #LaborOfLove
(My seamstresses are not trained and armed with enough patience in sewing more than 50 pattern pieces per dresses.)

My Fashion Diary: The Channel V Experience

Its 5:33 a.m and I just got home from a fashion event at Dolce Superclub and yes, I was one of the designer who showcased a little collection.

The event was really a success, good music, hot models, and ofcourse lots of media people. So there, Channel V came in without any notice from the organizers and did an ambush interview with us designers. I quickly pulled-in 3 of my models and the lady in a printed maxi dress handed the microphone to me, I don't even know if I look horrible or obscenely horrible with all the sweat dripping in my entire body (because of the room temperature) while giving a little talk about my designs and inspiration. Anyway, that was really my first T.V interview and I forgot to ask if when will be the telecast. :)

BTS at the Calibre Studio

I was able to style a photo shoot last Friday with the famous photographer Mr. Darrel Pobre at the Calibre Studio with 2 models, and 2 Make-up artists with garments from
Popo Go, Xernan Orticio (me), and  Gabbie Sarenas
.
Mr. Popo Go sent 4 couture gowns that are really heavy, it's the first time I saw a couture gown with 3 layers of lining and reinforced with self zippers (so imagine the weight) but the gowns are all gorgeous . I was able to borrow 2 dresses from Ms. Gabbie Sarenas in blue watercolor floral fabric with shirred treatment and interesting back details, while me, brought 2 black and charcoal long dresses that are straight off the runway from a fashion show last Thursday. The studio is big, and I mean huge! Thank you to Mr. Darrel Pobre and BNS Calibre Studio.

(Maroon & gray couture gowns by Popo Go, Black ensemble with crystal bib neckpiece by Xernan Orticio. Models; Faye Soriano & Jazel Mercado. Make-up artists; Chany Libago & Wacks Joacquin)
